Are you a language teacher or trainer, working with migrants and refugees? Are you eager to learn different teaching methods and approaches through games that can be used in the classroom with your students?
At the Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo “Danilo Dolci” we offer a training course for language teachers, trainers and people working with migrants and refugees. The training is organised within the project GAME ON with the aim of incorporating language learning games into language courses.
The training course will present different methods and approaches rooted on the Game Based Learning, facilitating the inclusion of migrants and refugees through language learning games. The game-based method has different benefits from the traditional ones at the level of engagement, as fun and motivation included in the course can be really a further asset for the learning success of the learners.
The piloting training in Palermo will be led by an Italian language teacher and it will help to transfer linguistic knowledge through different methodologies including online games, storytelling, quizzes, board games etc. The language teachers will learn when and how to use these games appropriately, purposefully and efficiently in order to meet both students’ needs and lesson objectives.
