Recognizing adult learners’ skills and identifying their potential: PATHWAYS training coming soon

Feb 8, 2022News

On January 25th, 2022 the third transnational meeting of the project Pathways – Upskilling by Creating individualized Learning Pathways was held online, due to the continuing limitations in force for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pathways project partners from Spain, Slovenia, Greece, Luxembourg, Italy and Cyprus met virtually to take stock of the situation on project developments and to decide on the next steps.

After having concluded the creation of a Toolkit for teachers, trainers, adult educators and career counsellors, useful for recognizing the skills of adult learners, identifying their potential and proposing learning pathways for improving competences and employability, the partnership is now involved in creating contents for the Training Course for teachers, trainers and career advisors on how to implement the Pathways Toolkit for final beneficiaries (adult learners in need for upskilling). Not only will the Training Course be available on an eLearning platform, which is considered an integral part of the Training Course, but an handbook for teachers and trainers will also be produced, so that the Training Course can be easily replicated in any situation that is deemed appropriate.

As soon as the drafting of the contents is finished, the partners will meet in person to analyse and evaluate the quality and content of the Toolkit and the Training Course before starting the Pilot Phase during which these tools will be put into practice: teachers, trainers and counselors will use them and will provide partners with feedbacks useful to validate and improve these tools.

Pathways – Upskilling by Creating individualized Learning Pathways is co-funded by the Erasmus + Program – Key Action 2: Strategic Partnerships | Adult, and aims to develop a toolkit for professionals in the field of adult education and career guidance who work with adults in need for upskilling.
