How to counter political extremism on social networks? How to support youth workers in promoting citizenship education, media literacy, critical thinking in the use of social networks? How to strengthen the protective factors against polarisation and radicalisation of ideas and opinions?
From 9 to 14 of September 2019, 32 youth workers, youth leader, trainers and educators met in Palermo for the the international training course iCitizen – Citizenship education and media literacy as tools to prevent political extremism on social networks, exchanging ideas, discussing and experimenting in practice how to recognise and counteract hate-speech online, and how to promote positive narratives on social medias, instead.
