{"id":10134,"date":"2016-11-03T09:00:24","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T08:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.danilodolci.org\/?p=3556"},"modified":"2016-11-03T09:00:24","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T08:00:24","slug":"robin-incontro-locale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/early-school-leaving\/robin-incontro-locale\/","title":{"rendered":"ROBIN &#8211; Local meeting with the social workers and educators working with migrants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/media\/Multiplier-Even-robin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-nsm-1-5945\" src=\"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/media\/Multiplier-Even-robin-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>After a year from the beginning of the project <strong>ROBIN &#8211; Reinforcing cOmpetences to Build Inclusion through a New learning methodology <\/strong>CSC Danilo Dolci held a public event to inform all the local actors interested in the topic \u2013 teachers, educators working with migrants, social workers, local associations\u2019 representatives, project managers \u2013 about the results reached so far and the next steps of the project.<\/p>\n<p>The event took place on 20<sup>th<\/sup> of October 2016 in Moltivolti\u2019s coworking space, in Via Mario Puglia, 21 in Palermo and was attended by many operators in the field of <strong>welcoming and education of minor migrants<\/strong> in Palermo and its surroundings and it was the occasion to talk and debate about a number of topics, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What are the <strong>second chance programs<\/strong> in Europe and Italy;<\/li>\n<li>What is the situation of welcoming and education of minor migrants in Palermo and Sicily;<\/li>\n<li>The concept of <strong>Early School Leaving<\/strong> and its implications at local, national and European level;<\/li>\n<li>The benefit of <strong>Non Formal Education<\/strong> as a valuable tool to combat early school leaving and to promote the integration of different groups of students, such as especially the ones with diverse cultural backgrounds and disadvantaged social situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the afternoon the output developed during the first phase of the project have been presented, namely the <strong>Research study on the current methodologies used within second chance programmes<\/strong> in Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria and Spain and the <strong>Need Analysis of the operators working in the field<\/strong>, aimed at identify the main factors of interest and the competences to be developed during the second phase of the project.<\/p>\n<p>The last part of the meeting, in fact, was dedicated to the presentation of the structure of the <strong>training program<\/strong> for educators that will start from February with several sessions which will involve till a maximum of 100 beneficiaries. The course will be aimed at transferring methodologies and non-formal activities to reinforce the competences of operators working with minor migrants, providing them with new tools to address as more efficiently as possible the particular needs or their targets.
