events, <strong>economic uncertainty<\/strong>, <strong>social inequalities<\/strong>, and the consistent <strong>flow of refugees<\/strong> Europe has experienced in recent years, have contributed to the shaping of a <strong>hostile environment<\/strong>, where <strong>hateful speech and violence thrive<\/strong>, especially <strong>online<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>NEw CHapter- NEtwork of Cooperation against Hate<\/strong> project aims at <strong>tackling this behaviour<\/strong> through a <strong>cross-sectorial cooperation<\/strong> in the field of youth work and the promotion of <strong>human rights education<\/strong> (HRE).<\/p>\n<p>The partners have met in Larisa (Greece) for the first time in occasion of the project\u2019s Kick-off meeting on October 21<sup>st<\/sup>-22<sup>nd<\/sup> during which key dates and appointments were scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>More to the point, NEw CHapter seeks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to encourage and strengthen <strong>transnational cooperation<\/strong> among the participating organizations;<\/li>\n<li>support involved organisations staff\u2019s capacity building on how to <strong>tackle hate speech<\/strong>, <strong>bullying<\/strong> and <strong>discrimination<\/strong> through joint training with the use of <strong>non formal and formal education methodologies;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>to explore and share experiences, tools and methods to get <strong>new insights and knowledge on HRE<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>to gain <strong>social, intercultural ,critical thinking competences<\/strong> for a more <strong>inclusive education<\/strong>, <strong>training<\/strong> and <strong>youth field<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>to create a <strong>cross sectoral sustainable network of inclusion ambassadors<\/strong> that will spread the ideas of <strong><em>No Hate Speech Movement<\/em><\/strong> through local and online activities supporting the promotion of <strong>inclusive and peaceful societies<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>to support the exchange of effective methods, opportunities and challenges in local and European youth work in <strong>reaching out to marginalized young people and in preventing racism and intolerance among local youth<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The partners will now engage in a <strong>research on existing good practices in combating hate speech<\/strong>, which will be then gathered and contextualized in the <strong>New CHapter handbook<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the partners are planning other activities in the framework of the project such as the <strong>training for youth workers<\/strong> and the <strong>two local activities <\/strong>to take place <strong>in<\/strong> <strong>2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEw CHapter\u00a0<\/strong>is a 15-month, 4-country Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnership project, which includes 7 partners ranging from educational institutions to youth organizations, to ensure the cross-sectorial aim of the
