{"id":10195,"date":"2018-07-20T16:17:43","date_gmt":"2018-07-20T14:17:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.danilodolci.org\/?p=4211"},"modified":"2018-07-20T16:17:43","modified_gmt":"2018-07-20T14:17:43","slug":"eumoschool-path-emotional-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/news\/eumoschool-path-emotional-education\/","title":{"rendered":"EUMOSCHOOL: A three years-long path to promote emotional education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4214 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/media\/eumoschool-path-emotional-education.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"543\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Is it possible to positively influence the learning path of children and adolescents working on their capability to understand and manage emotions?<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion of 3 years of shared work, the partners of the project <strong>EUMOSCHOOL \u2013 Emotional Education for Early School Leaving Prevention <\/strong>met in Viterbo, Italy on July 8<sup>th<\/sup> and 9<sup>th<\/sup> 2018 to take a look on the results achieved by the project.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the project\u2019s partners had the occasion of retracing all the project\u2019s steps, analysing the results achieved, sharing the experiences of this last year implementation in schools and evaluating its impact. Each partner has illustrated the initiatives undertaken at national level to disseminate the project\u2019s products and exploit them, promoting \u2013 thanks to them \u2013 the <strong>integration of emotional education into the scholar curriculum<\/strong>. Finally, they reflected and planned potential further initiatives and future projects to continue of the project\u2019s path and assure its sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>With <strong>80 teachers from more then 50 schools<\/strong> in 5 different countries, trained on the topics of emotional education and on the Didactics of Emotions techniques, and with <strong>more than 110 students involved<\/strong> in total in the implementation of these techniques for the improvement of their emotional and transversal competences, the EUMOSCHOOL project has developed tools and resources to support students and teachers, with the final aim <strong>to create a positive learning environment and contribute to the prevention of early school leaving<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These products and resources have been presented during the project\u2019s <strong>final conference<\/strong>, which took place at <strong>University of Tuscia<\/strong>, within the <strong>National Festival of Education<\/strong>, in its final day of Sunday, the 8<sup>th<\/sup> of July 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly, the following outputs have been presented:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <strong>EUMOSCHOOL OER<\/strong> (Open Educational Resource): A self-learning OER adapted from the Didacticts of Emotions (DoE) for teachers, accessed via Moodle (moodle.org).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/eumoschool.eu\/guidelines\/\">Guidelines for EUMOSCHOOL implementation as an holistic approach to Early School Leaving<\/a>: a document in two versions \u2013 digital and printed \u2013 which sum up the experiences of students and teachers implementing the project\u2019s activities, with a step-by-step guide for introducing the Didactic of Emotions in the classes.<\/li>\n<li>Policy Recommendations: a document to guide policy-makers and other relevant school stakeholders in their ESL strategies at a local, national and European level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Main speakers of the conference:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the founders and staff of Emotional Training Center, who have developed the methodology of Didactics of Emotions, upon which the project is based: they showed the empirical data of the analysis of the impact of the activities implemented on the first year of the project in the schools of 5 countries;<\/li>\n<li>the project\u2019s coordinators from Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci, who presented the final outputs of the project;<\/li>\n<li>the project\u2019s partners, who talked about the experiences in the schools of their country;<\/li>\n<li>some teachers from Romania, who talked about their own experience with the implementation of the techniques in their classes, the impact on their students and the feedbacks of these last ones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project will end on August, 31<sup>st<\/sup>.
