{"id":11434,"date":"2019-01-15T13:47:42","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T12:47:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/danilodolci.org\/?p=11434"},"modified":"2019-03-20T13:49:33","modified_gmt":"2019-03-20T12:49:33","slug":"amw-training-job-market-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/news\/amw-training-job-market-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Advancing Migrant Women: A training to develop essential job market skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci has had the great pleasure to offer a <strong>new and innovative training course<\/strong> aimed at helping migrant women <strong>to realize their full potential in the labour market<\/strong> and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p>The first piloting of Advancing Migrant Women has just ended, allowing 8 migrant women to enter the world of entrepreneurship and to develop different skills and knowledge related to the job market.<\/p>\n<p>The course, which took place after a careful analysis among the partner countries on the needs of migrant women in Italy and Europe, provided an innovative approach based on the <strong>combination of a Training Course and the Career Circle Method<\/strong>&#x2122;.<\/p>\n<p>The course lasted about three months, from October to December 2018 at Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci, and was divided as follows:<\/p>\n<p>7 lessons of 4 hours of training on job and entrepreneurial skills through the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication and behaviour<\/li>\n<li>Self-perception, positive psychology and competence mapping<\/li>\n<li>Brand you: personal branding<\/li>\n<li>Learning based on your own strengths<\/li>\n<li>Generation of ideas and creativity<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurship: is it for me?<\/li>\n<li>3 session of 4 hour of Coaching Circles&#x2122; after every 2 meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This methodology, tested in England, has provided spaces for sharing in a safe environment, where women have been able to discuss their personal problems related to the world of work and find common solutions and new ideas.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in the course offered women a new way of approaching the world of work, discovering previously unexplored potentials and skills leading increased self-confidence, self-motivation and self-awareness. The course received great a very positive evaluation from its participants.<\/p>\n<p>If you couldn&#8217;t participate, don&#8217;t worry!
