{"id":11451,"date":"2018-01-05T12:24:19","date_gmt":"2018-01-05T11:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/danilodolci.org\/?p=11451"},"modified":"2022-03-13T11:50:48","modified_gmt":"2022-03-13T10:50:48","slug":"supergreenlabelfoods-harmonising-the-production-of-super-foods-with-targeted-training-for-professionals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/news\/supergreenlabelfoods-harmonising-the-production-of-super-foods-with-targeted-training-for-professionals\/","title":{"rendered":"SuperGREENLABELFoods: Harmonising the production of super foods with targeted training for professionals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Superfoods are nutrient-rich products such as fruit, berries, spices, and seeds that contain active ingredients that are particularly interesting for health.<\/p>\n<p>By virtue of their beneficial properties, the demand for super foods has increased in recent years but, in many cases, those involved in the production and marketing of these products are not aware of the commercial potential of their crops.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/project\/supergreenlabelfoods\/\">SuperGREENLABELFoods<\/a> project will allow professionals in the agri-food sector to acquire new technical, information and communication skills to improve cultivation, harvesting, production, packaging and promotion of superfoods and medicinal aromatic herbs.<\/p>\n<p>The project consortium met for the first time in Thessaloniki (Greece) on 19th December 2017.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, we started a preliminary discussion on training for professionals in the production and promotion of superfoods and medicinal herbs.<\/p>\n<p>Before proceeding to define a curriculum for professionals, we will carry out:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a research on the economic reality of the agri-food sector in Greece, Italy and Spain;<\/li>\n<li>collect information on existing regulations and good practices,<\/li>\n<li>assess career opportunities in the cultivation and marketing sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, we created and shared two structured questionnaires for producers and those involved in processing super foods.
