The 2nd<\/sup> transnational partner meeting of the REACT \u2013 Reciprocal maieutic Approach pathways enhancing Critical Thinking \u2013 was held online on the mornings of the 22nd and 23rd of June 2022. The meeting was an occasion for the partners to not only review the progress of the project but also discuss the steps coming ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last past months, all partner organizations of the project REACT conducted questionnaires targeting students, teachers, and parents from middle and high schools in the communities in which it will be implemented. All three target groups were invited to answer target-specific questions that intend to explore how cultural diversity influence the life of the youth and adults, as much in schools as in daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students\u2019 questionnaire was divided into four sections in order to gather both general information and to deepen their understanding of the impact of diversity in their everyday school life and in their relationship with teachers and parents, and at the same time to understand how the learning environment influences the development of skills necessary to foster a culturally diverse environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, partner worked on the development of research with the aim of providing a European analysis of how school systems use innovative approaches and methods. The research explored the potential value of developing and identifying interventions that improve students' acquisition of critical thinking skills. To conduct the desk research, partners involved teachers and\/or experts from their own countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Italy, the Centro Svillupo Creativo (CSC) Danilo Dolci conducted questionnaires in two selected upper and lower middle schools in the commune of Palermo, Sicily: Liceo Scientifico Statale Benedetto Croce and Lombardo Radice School. Locally, more than 130 students, teachers and students took part in that first phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partners will meet in presence in September a Citt\u00e0 di Castello. It will be an opportunity for them to get to know each other better and be trained through workshops using Danilo Dolci\u2019s Reciprocal Maieutic Approach (RMA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
