{"id":3736,"date":"2017-04-03T11:19:47","date_gmt":"2017-04-03T09:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.danilodolci.org\/?p=3736"},"modified":"2019-02-25T14:01:54","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T13:01:54","slug":"community-theatre-social-inclusion-react-icaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/integration\/community-theatre-social-inclusion-react-icaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Theatre as means of social inclusion: extraordinary encounter between REACT and ICAF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.danilodolci.org\/media\/sites\/5\/community-theatre-social-inclusion-react-icaf.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3738\" src=\"https:\/\/en.danilodolci.org\/media\/sites\/5\/community-theatre-social-inclusion-react-icaf-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Community theatre for refugees' social inclusion icaf react\" width=\"380\" height=\"285\" \/><\/a>The second partner meeting of project <strong>REACT &#8211; Refugee Engagement And integration through Community Theatre (Creative Europe Programme)<\/strong> took place in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) on\u00a0 30\u2013 31 March 2017 on the special occasion of the triennial<a href=\"http:\/\/icafrotterdam.com\/\"><strong> International Community Arts Festival \u2013 ICAF<\/strong><\/a>, which added extraordinary echoes to the\u00a0 partners\u2019 encounter.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting, therefore, could be said to have simultaneously achieved dual purposes: project progress sharing and substantial community outreach. During the first day, the three partners carefully went through project implementation matters in each partner\u2019s country, specifically regarding the start of<strong> theatrical workshops involving refugees<\/strong>, <strong>exchanging experiences<\/strong> in handling issues that frequently arose during the implementation of such workshops.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting\u2019s highlight happened the second day when the project team enjoyed a rare chance to organize a seminar with ICAF\u2019s audience to present REACT and share practical working experiences. Being t<strong>he first ranked project in the 2016\u2019s Creative Europe Call<\/strong>, the demand for attending the seminar was such that the event was split up in two consecutive sessions in order to admit all the attendees.
