There is clear evidence that migrant\/refugee women have disadvantageous preconditions for learning. On average, women have a lower level of schooling and vocational training and due to childcare responsibilities, women are less likely to have access to integration supported linguistic offers and thus are less likely to learn the host language. Therefore, language learning opportunities for migrant women should be tailored to their specific needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Feeling Home project responds to this situation by offering an informal language opportunity to migrant women in which they can improve their linguistic skills while simultaneously enhancing their integration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, the project aims to reduce the risk of social exclusion of migrant women in our society, by promoting education, enhancing tolerance as well as by motivating trainers and learners for a lifelong learning strategy focusing on the needs of migrant women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond that, Feeling Home aims to improve the competences of educators for the delivery of informal training, including digital skill, and offer ready solutions that easily enhance teaching strategies for vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-activities\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Development of a language curriculum for migrant women build around the task of creating a city map<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage migrant women in the creation of city maps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Events and excursions with migrant women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constant feedback and discussions between trainers, locally and internationally, about the development of the informal language learning course<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International online events between migrant women who speak the same language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recording the experiences of migrant women in the process through photo and video<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a methodological manual for language teachers, trainers and educators for the creation of non-formal learning offers as well as online teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of an interactive learning platform with all the materials, resources and best practices from the process of the informal learning opportunity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upskilling workshops for trainers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-results\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>150 migrant women will be empowered to improve their language skills and share their needs as individuals with their community through the informal language course<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 city guides with places that are important to migrant women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 films describing the experiences of the migrant women of making the city guides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 trainers will have benefited from a continuous professional development opportunity, will have improved competencies linked to the trainers\u2019 professional profiles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Methodology manual for trainers which will improve teaching methodology and create innovative curricula among trainers involved in migrant welcoming services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the professional development of educators, especially in dealing with vulnerable learners and the use of alternative teaching methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interactive learning platform (Moodle) which will increase the motivation and satisfaction in trainers\u2019 daily work by supporting them in the creation of more flexible learning paths in line with targets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 multiplier events in each country, reaching a total of 530 people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iberika.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iberika Education Group Ggmbh<\/a> \u2013 Germany, coordinator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.activecitizens.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Active Citizens Partnership<\/a> \u2013 Greece<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swideas.se\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SwIdeas Ab<\/a> \u2013 Sweden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laxixateatre.org\">Associacio La Xixa Teatre<\/a> \u2013 Spain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/\">Centro Per Lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci <\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 Italy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT Civic integration is more than just learning a language; however, language skills are determinant for the successful integration process.
