Between 1990 and 2010, in particular the number of Muslims in Europe has risen by 14,5 million, and an increase of 2 percentage points is expected during the next 20 years (Pew Research Center).<\/p>\n<p>The training course SALAAM aims at preventing youth social exclusion which may lead to radicalization, by providing youth workers with competences to transmit shared values of freedom, tolerance and democracy, together with the EU\u2019s priorities. Youth workers play an important role in encouraging and involving young people into active citizenship and in transferring values to marginalized youth, increasing their sense of belonging to a shared community.<\/p>\n<p>In this frame, SALAAM intends to increase the youth workers\u2019 capabilities to work for a global integrations of migrants and fewer opportunities youngsters, by using non formal educational tools, in particular Art and the Reciprocal Maieutic Approach by Danilo Dolci.
