{"id":9928,"date":"2017-12-01T11:37:52","date_gmt":"2017-12-01T10:37:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.danilodolci.org\/?page_id=3945"},"modified":"2022-12-15T17:24:11","modified_gmt":"2022-12-15T16:24:11","slug":"smiim","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/danilodolci.org\/en\/project\/smiim\/","title":{"rendered":"SMIIM &#8211; Skill to maximise Inclusion through interpreting and Mediation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Description of the project<\/h2>\n<p>The project objective is to make a meaningful contribution to reducing social isolation, gaps in inter-cultural knowledge of the migrant \/ refugee and the host country public services and language communication barriers.<\/p>\n<p>The project objective is to make a significant contribution to the society led response to addressing the needs of migrants \/ refugees and creatively using technology to enact strategies to reduce the language and cultural barriers faced.<\/p>\n<h2>Activities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Local events: the project foresees two partner events to promote their activities through invitations to events, presentations to other networking events of local communities;<\/li>\n<li>All partners will test the methods presented during the training, modifying them and developing them according to the specific needs \/ constraints of their target groups (local pilot laboratories);<\/li>\n<li>Two training courses for staff and interpreters \/ cultural mediators to test the on-line platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Results<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of a web portal to improve the educational offer for students in the field of cultural interpretation and mediation.
