To combat racism and intolerance by promoting diversity and inclusion among young people through an educational and participative approach.
Description of the project
Youth Unite was created to address the urgent need to reduce discrimination, racism, and intolerance, particularly among young people, in an increasingly diverse European context. To achieve this goal, the project aims to strengthen the skills of youth workers, equipping them to promote an inclusive environment that fosters dialogue and active participation in the community. By engaging both young people and youth workers, the project seeks to build intercultural relationships based on respect and inclusivity, supported by validated educational tools and a curriculum designed to tackle contemporary social challenges.
Objectives
- Develop a validated curriculum for youth workers based on Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL).
- Train youth workers and certify their skills through YOUTHPASS.
- Engage young people in participatory research to identify and address community issues.
- Create and implement cultural scenarios that celebrate diversity and promote inclusion.
- Foster intercultural dialogue and active youth participation at the local level.l’inclusione.
Activities
- Participatory research: focus groups and surveys to involve young people and other relevant stakeholders in curriculum development.
- Curriculum development: creation of an IBL-based educational program for youth workers.
- Training and certification: workshops for youth workers leading to YOUTHPASS certification.
- Organization of local events to share success stories and community project results, raising awareness on diversity and tolerance.
- Dissemination and sustainability: sharing best practices and success stories through events and an online platform.

Impact
- Enhanced skills for over 50 youth workers in inclusion and intercultural dialogue promotion.
- Direct involvement of at least 100 young people in activities that strengthen their active role in the community, increasing their awareness and knowledge of tolerance, inclusion, and diversity, fostering a positive change in their attitudes and behaviors, enhancing their critical thinking skills through the designed curriculum, and improving their civic engagement through participation in community initiatives.
- Raising awareness in European communities on diversity, inclusion, and tolerance, through the dissemination of project results and success stories via events and online platforms.
- Creation of a European network promoting tolerance and EU values.
- A replicable model of youth education and engagement, applicable in various European contexts.
