Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are often unprepared to deal effectively with the employment inclusion of people with disabilities. They lack tools, practical information and clear support to overcome obstacles, prejudices and stereotypes. To respond to these difficulties, Be Inclusive! provides 8 modular learning videos in microlearning format. Specially designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), these videos have been developed to support the integration process of people with disabilities and provide concrete hints and practical advice, addressing the challenges of employment inclusion in a simple and direct way.
Be Inclusive! was created with the aim of concretely improving the participation of people with disabilities in working life, starting from one of the main difficulties: the lack of tools and knowledge on the part of small and medium-sized enterprises. Many SMEs, in fact, struggle to recruit and retain workers with disabilities due to prejudices, stereotypes and a lack of preparation for their specific needs.
Through these videos, each partner involved contributed with training content based on real experiences, providing an in-depth and human insight into the following issues:
- Recruitment
- Training new employees
- Creating an inclusive work environment
- Pitfalls and hurdles in the company, with colleagues and/or superiors
- Challenges for managers & the company
- Advantages of hiring people with disabilities
- Typical prejudices & attitudes
- Potential & skills developement/training in companies
The videos are designed to raise awareness, train and support both SMEs and placement trainers, offering practical tools to make employment processes more effective. The aim is to promote a more inclusive and aware corporate culture, capable of valuing diversity and responding concretely to the needs of people with disabilities.
These videos are created in several languages offering subtitles in English, Italian, Greek, German, Slovenian, Latvian and French.
The videos will be available on the following channels: Youtube, Facebook, Linkedin.
