What makes digital spaces unsafe? Hate speech and other risks – webinar with Debora Barletta
Scams, phishing, grooming, revenge porn, mobbing, cyberbullying, hate speech, and much more. There is no shortage of English terms to describe the many risks of the digital world, but what is often lacking is a real awareness of the phenomena they describe. At the bottom of it all, we find not only a lack of digital skills, but above all a culture of violence and oppression that has real effects both online and offline.
To talk about the risks of the digital world and how to clarify and develop knowledge, we invite you to join the free MILES webinar What makes digital spaces unsafe? Hate speech and other risks – led by expert Debora Barletta – which will be held:
Thursday, 9 October 2025, from 4.30 pm to 6 pm
Live streaming on Facebook and YouTube
Why to join?
- You will gain useful knowledge and tools to proactively contribute to creating a safer and more welcoming digital space.
- At the end of the webinar, you will receive a certificate of participation (request it via the link in the comments field during the live broadcast).
