Educational strategies to promote inclusion and combat racism in Europe

Aug 6, 2025News

In an era where racism and intolerance threaten social cohesion, YouthUnite offers concrete responses to contemporary social challenges. The fight against racism and intolerance starts with education, especially among young people. To build a more fair and respectful society, it is necessary to promote diversity and inclusion: YouthUnite responds to this need with an educational and participatory approach.

YouthUnite involves several European organisations, including Centre for Creative Development Danilo Dolci – ETS, with the aim of combating racism and intolerance through education. The goal is to promote active listening, dialogue and collective participation through curricula that will be developed in the coming months.

Through workshops, discussion groups and intercultural activities, YouthUnite will provide participants with the tools to recognise and combat racism and intolerance in their daily lives. In particular, the initiative aims to engage young people, allowing them to explore their own experiences and insights, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of social and cultural dynamics.

The project’s activities are designed to stimulate critical thinking, promote active citizenship and develop social and intercultural skills. In this way, YouthUnite aims to help form a generation of aware young people, capable of building a more inclusive and respectful society.

A report will soon be available providing an overview of the challenges and opportunities for promoting diversity and inclusion, as well as the most effective methods for tackling racism in different European contexts.
