To promote the economic and social participation of Ukrainian refugees through a holistic approach integrating psychosocial support, cultural orientation, entrepreneurial training, and peer-to-peer support systems.
Description of the project
Humanity Hub addresses the challenges that hinder the full economic and social participation of Ukrainian refugees in Italy and Croatia through a systemic approach based on real needs. Cultural and language barriers, the absence of social support networks, and psychological vulnerabilities related to conflict and uprooting undermine access to employment and increase social marginalization. To address these critical issues, the project proposes a model founded on three interconnected dimensions: psychosocial support and cultural orientation, entrepreneurial training and business development assistance, and the building of peer networks to facilitate employment opportunities. The objective is to promote sustainable pathways to active participation, valuing the skills and resilience of the people involved.
Objectives
- Promote entrepreneurship among Ukrainian refugees and support the business initiatives they lead, thereby contributing both to improving their personal situation and to local development.
- Facilitate access to the labor market through Job Clubs and targeted training programs aimed at new entrepreneurs, alongside acceleration pathways for potential startups.
- Create a dynamic and innovative support ecosystem capable of valuing the diversity and resilience of the Ukrainian refugee population.
- Provide continuous psychosocial support adapted to the evolving needs of the people involved, addressing daily necessities, language requirements, and other emerging needs.
Activities
- Conduct qualitative research to identify the main needs and challenges faced by Ukrainian refugees in the local contexts of Italy and Croatia.
- Launch a Job Club and a pilot training program, developed based on needs and desires identified through maieutic workshops, to strengthen emotional resilience and work-related skills.
- Develop and pilot a professional planning training program integrated with psychosocial support to help navigate local contexts.

- Implement an entrepreneurial acceleration program with mentoring, coaching, and personalized support activities.
