Bias, education and activism – LIGHT Talk
Racism is not always visible: it often hides in words, glances, subtle exclusions. LIGHT was created to shed light on these invisible forms of discrimination and to offer practical tools to address them through education.
If you work with young people, in education, social work, or sports—or if you are simply interested in social justice, active citizenship, and inclusion, join for free the LIGHT Talk “Bias, education and activism”. It will be a moment to reflect together on how education can become a concrete tool to counter unconscious bias, stereotypes, and invisible racism.

Why participate?
After nearly two years of international collaboration, the LIGHT project concludes with a participatory talk and a shared discussion. We will present the main results of the project and introduce some of the tools developed for educators, youth workers, and anyone engaged in working with and for young people. Beyond showcasing the project outcomes, the event will spark a dialogue with the audience on educational and non-formal approaches to fighting discrimination and stereotypes in educational, social, and cultural contexts.

During the event, we will:
- Present the LIGHT MOOC, a free online course on non-formal education and cultural bias;
- introduce the LIGHT Toolkit, a practical guide for inclusive and anti-discrimination activities to be used in classrooms and youth centres;
- offer experiential samples of non-formal education activities from the project, allowing participants to engage with some of the methods firsthand.
