Do you want to know and learn more about Arduino? Are you eager to discover all its incredible possibilities and be able to develop a circuit on your own? Sign up and participate in Arduino Day with CSC Danilo Dolci!
The CSC “Danilo Dolci” will be part of the Arduino Day on Saturday 27 March 2021: a worldwide event meant to celebrate the platform organized by the Arduino community.
What is Arduino?
It is an open-source electronic platform enabling users to build robotics, electronics, and which can be used to write and load computer code (in “C” language) on the platform itself. Arduino id based on the idea of creating faster and easier electronic projects, but above all easy and affordable for everyone, with no need of previous technical skills.
Arduino Day is an event aiming to share projects and experiences about the open-source platform. In 2020, more than 400 events were held by members of the online community in more than 90 countries. In a year in which we have experienced social distancing, the strength of the Arduino community has been to connecting us all, by breaking down the barriers of physical distance and self-isolation. Arduino has been able to transform a burden into a chance to connect and create. Makers, associations, schools, professionals, start-ups and newbies are welcome to share experiences and involve new users in the community. CSC and Arduino Day
The CSC “Danilo Dolci” has seized this opportunity to organize for the first time an online event within the E-DESIGN project. The open event will illustrate the possibilities of ICT and Arduino, together with practical step by step demonstrations. Particular attention will be paid to the strengthening of digital skills for all levels, which is what the E-DESIGN project aims to, and to all the possibilities that Arduino can offer in terms of social inclusion and labour market opportunities. The event is organized within the project E-DESIGN (E+ – KA3) which offers training opportunities in the field of information technologies and communication.

AGENDA
Arduino Day will be online, on ZOOM and through a live stream of the event. There will be presentations as well as a possibility to try Arduino yourself. The workshops will be hosted on the Zoom platform, with a limited number of participants to allow and facilitate interaction (max 30 pax). It is also possible to join the event by presenting your own Arduino project.
Anyone can contact Vidjaya Thelen by March 25, 2021: vidjaya.thelen@danilodolci.org. If you want to participate in any (or all) of the activities, please register here. Please note that the event will be in Italian.
10: 00-11: 00 > Show and Tell:
- Presentation of Arduino (and the Internet of Things)
- Uses and benefits (from beginners to experts)
- Presentation of projects made through Arduino – by participants and other guests – that respond to real-life problems.
11:15 – 12:15 > Workshop 1: Arduino and Coding:
Practical workshop for beginners in which we will build a simple Arduino circuit with Tinkercad for a traffic light; participants will be challenged to understand and modify the code on their own.
12: 30-13: 30 > Workshop 2: Arduino Sensors and Coding:
Practical workshop for beginners in which we will build an Arduino circuit with Tinkercad including sensors, we will learn the code variables and add other sensors in the circuit, according to the knowledge level of the participants.
13: 30-14: 00 > Space for questions and closing of the event.
