logoCentro Per Lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci is a partner in the project IMPACTS funded with support from the European Commission within the Erasmus+ Programme in the Sport action.

The project aims to improve career opportunities in sport for athletes with disabilities. Our work wants to promote the principle that athletes with disabilities can aspire to reach the positions of coach and instructor. Through its activities, the project plans to connect educational institutions and education and sports organizations with disabled athletes, in order to meet their needs and overcome the obstacles preventing them to progress in their careers.

Thanks to the project, it will be possible to exchange best practices and experiences in the field of sport and teaching methodologies for disabled athletes. They will be supported as a role model to increase the participation of people with disabilities in sport.

The first meeting of the project partners took place in Heerlen in the Netherlands from the 29th of February to the 1st of March, organised by the coordinating organization, EURICON (Netherlands). The meeting allowed the associations belonging to the Consortium, from Italy, Netherlands, Poland, and Turkey to meet and exchange their views and strategies and create the basis for keeping up their engagement on this issue.
