GIVE ME 50+ : It’s never too late to volunteer abroad

GIVE ME 50+We are looking for 6 senior volunteers (over 50) ready to do a volunteering experience abroad offering their willingness, strength and experience.

“GIVE ME 50 +” is a volunteering project, within the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union, addressed to people over 50, that will take place in the Wirral peninsula, North East of England, a few kilometres away from the city of Liverpool.

You will be welcomed by VCA Wirral (Voluntary & Community Action Wirral), an association based in  Liscard, Wallasey, one of the most disadvantaged areas of Wirral.

The volunteers will have the opportunity to support the association VCA Wirral, in its daily activities and in the organization of special events. The main activities they will be involved in are gardening and biological vegetable farming, care for the elderly living in the area, awareness-raising campaigns on health.

The association VCA Wirral will also organise non formal and playful activities linking the Italian volunteers to the local community. Some time will also be devoted to visit the area, with excursions and in the free time.

The project will last 4 weeks, from June 9th to July 6th (travel days included)

The travel expenditures, room and board will be 100% covered.
