Do you work in the context of adult education? Have you ever wondered how you could help your learners to find a suitable job opportunity?
The partners of EDEC- Extending and Developing adult Educators’ Competences have elaborated a training manual for adult educators in order to train them on the necessary competences to become Educational Consultant. This innovative professional figure will support the adults in taking part in training paths to be more competitive inside the job market.
The training manual is divided into a theoretical part, in which the fundamental concepts concerning the main topics are developed; and a practical part in which every activity of the training course is explained.
The training manual aims to implement a training course that is replicable in different contexts. Specifically, the training course is designed to last 40 hours and consists of 5 training sessions lasting 8 hours each. Every training session can be implemented in 1 day or in 2 different days. Moreover, the 5 sessions can be implemented in 5 days in a row or can be divided into 5 weeks. The training course is designed for 12-15 participants in order to allow them to freely interact and share their working experiences.
To conclude, the training manual is developed in a flexible way in order to meet the expectations of the participants and it is divided into 5 modules concerning the following topics:
- Communication skills;
- Building customer relationships;
- Diagnosis and work with restrictive beliefs of clients (stereotypes, prejudices, etc.);
- Assessment of learning needs and creation of learning paths for clients;
- Educational services in Italy* in the context of adult education.
