FUNMILIES: AN OPPORTUNITY FOR INTERGENERATIONAL DIALOGUE in THE CITY OF PALERMO

Dec 8, 2022News

The Info Day of the Funmilies project, funded by the Erasmus+ Sport program, was held on December 3rd. More than 30 people took part in the presentation of the project, which was held at Xinergie, the coworking space in Piazza Sant’Anna nº3, in Palermo.

Dario Ferrante, project manager of our Center who coordinated the Funmilies project, presented the results of the project to an audience composed of teachers, sports trainers, journalists, and various sports practitioners.

The project aims to integrate two different generations (young people under 25 and seniors over 65) through sports activities. The project ultimately aims to contribute to the active aging of the over-65 population and to create places of contact between younger and older people, in which both can feel welcomed and part of the community.

At the end of the presentation, which also included the activities of Xinergie centre, which is active in the field of sports and choreographic disciplines, there was a lunch hosted by CSC Danilo Dolci and catered by Bisso Bistrot.
