Intercultural dialogue at school: all resources from P2T-Community now available online!

Sep 30, 2024News

Schools can be seen as places of meeting and exchange not only for the students who attend them but also for the parents who pass through them. For this reason, P2T-Community aimed to create educational pathways for both migrant parents and teachers, encouraging a genuine exchange between different cultures.

In recent months, the project activities have concluded in the various participating countries (Austria, Belgium, Greece, Italy, and Slovenia), with events organized in each city to present the results achieved.

By visiting https://p2tcommunity.eu, you can access all the developed resources:

  • Transnational Report: this report contains essential information on the obstacles and challenges faced by migrant and refugee parents in Europe, along with best practices identified by partner organizations regarding the involvement of migrant parents in schools.
  • 8 Interactive Workshops: these workshops are designed to improve the digital, linguistic, and communication skills of migrant parents, forming part of the training program.
  • Methodological Handbook: a guide offering advice and suggestions on how to organize the training program.
  • Community of Practice: an online platform for teachers interested in expanding their knowledge on intercultural dialogue and exchanging ideas with other educators across Europe.
  • 5 Videos: these videos share the diverse project experiences in the different countries, through the testimonies of participants.

An online event was organized in Italy to present all the tools to teachers, where educators had the opportunity to exchange views on their vision of a pluralistic school where no one is excluded. The meeting led to reflections on classroom experiences and the potential for imagining shared pathways towards building a school environment that views diversity as a unique and essential resource.

If you are a teacher and want to know more, join the Community, explore the different sections, and don’t miss the chance to interact with other colleagues interested in creating a more inclusive school!
